GURPS Day: New Armor Loadouts for DF13

Kickstarter backers now have their PDFs of the Dungeon Fantasy RPG. Well, those backers who bought the PDFs. On the up side, this game now uses armor based on the armor in GURPS Low-Tech. On the down side, this means the kits in GURPS Dungeon Fantasy 13: Loadouts are now wrong. Metal armor weighs less, but almost all armor is more costly. I like this works in play as it's not far from how I run things; it makes starting at 250 points tougher for a few sessions until everyone upgrades his armor, but I'm into lower-powered games anyways. Anyways, I wrote anew the armor parts of the loadouts. You will need to have DF 13 to make this work, so isn't this a good time to spend some money?

And oh yeah. We played on Sunday. Log will follow at some time.

    The changes are not as large as I was expecting, and a lot of characters simply carry a little more weight or have a little more money afterward, the latter I was not expecting to crop up as often.

      They don't "simply carry a little more weight or have a little more money." They have lower DRs. Focusing on the non-split DR, armor for the torso goes up $53/$158/$630/$945/$1,155/$2,625 up to DR 6. In Characters, armor for torso and groin goes up $30/$100/?($210)/$420/$900/$1,300 (DR 3 is 140% of light scale armor, which doesn't cover the groin normally). The extra cost means you have less room to fiddle with an armor load out.

      I made sure that nobody was spending more than an extra $10 in armor, and otherwise tried to keep the costs near. Some of them were tougher than others to reach the original cost, and so the character could spend his copper elsewhere.
